The problem
Bullfighting is a form of cruelty and violence
In popular festivals in the towns of Spain, bulls are immobilized, pulled with ropes, attacked, forces them to run, they throw them into the sea and light torches on their horns. Animals suffer falls, blows, intense suffering, and sometimes death.
The cruelest form of celebration is when balls impregnated with a flammable substance are placed on their horns and lit to see them run desperately.
Consequences
Having fun at the expense of bulls puts your life at risk
Deaths from brutal blows, heart attacks from being, burned eyes, anguish and fear of fire. In addition to causing physical and psychological injuries, a large number of these animals are directly sent to the slaughterhouse that same night. These are the consequences of this cruel celebration:
- Risk of death
- Breaks and injuries
- Burns
- Psychological suffering
Campaign
Let's end cruel parties!
We are conducting the largest and most in-depth investigation of the more than 18,000 cruel festivals with animals that are held in Spain year after year, and which are unfortunately on the rise. We want to expose the mistreatment that thousands of peoples hide in their festivities and traditions.
The ranches are seeing the future of bullfighting in jeopardy, which has less and less support, and they see a growing business in popular festivities. We want to put an end to cruel parties. Can you help us?
